Over the past seven posts, I've written about template sites, platform lock-in, speed, accessibility, stale content, and the red flags that tell you it's time for something different. Better Built is the name I gave this campaign, but it's also the principle behind everything Vistoso Creative does. Build it right, keep it current, and make sure you own it.

What You Get
A custom website. Not a template. Not a theme with your logo dropped in. A site designed around your business, your customers, and your goals. Built with Next.js, the same framework behind Nike, TikTok, and Stripe, so your site is fast, secure, and ready to grow with you.
Hosting and maintenance included. Your site lives on fast, reliable infrastructure and I keep it running. Security updates, performance monitoring, and technical maintenance are all covered.
Scheduled Site Refreshes. I update your site at regular intervals to reflect what's current: new hours, new photos, fresh testimonials, adjusted copy. Every plan includes Site Refreshes, from annual on Essentials to quarterly on Premium.
Direct communication. You talk to me. Not a support queue, not a chatbot, not an account manager who's juggling 40 other clients. When you call, I answer.
Full ownership. Your domain, your code, your content, your hosting. If you ever decide to leave, you take everything with you. No lock-in, no surprise copyright claims, no five-figure "license fees" to keep your own site.
The Plans
Essentials covers a custom website, hosting, maintenance, an annual Site Refresh, and direct support. Built for small businesses that need a professional online presence without the fuss.
Growth adds booking integration, a monthly blog post or email campaign, and twice-yearly Site Refreshes. Built for service providers who book clients and publish content.
Premium includes quarterly Site Refreshes, priority response times, custom integrations, and quarterly strategy calls. Built for businesses that need hands-on support.
Any plan can add E-Commerce with Shopify integration, product page templates, and support for up to 50 products.
There is also a one-time setup fee for design and development. During the Better Built campaign, that fee is reduced. I'll give you the exact number during the consultation so there are no surprises. See full plan details →
How the Process Works
Step 1: Consultation. We talk for about 30 minutes. You tell me about your business, what your current site does (or doesn't do), and what you need. I'll be direct about whether I can help and what it would cost.
Step 2: Discovery and scope. If we decide to move forward, I document exactly what your site will include. Pages, features, content needs, timeline. Everything is written down in plain language so there's no ambiguity.
Step 3: Design and build. I design your site and build it. You see progress along the way and give feedback at key milestones. The typical timeline is four to six weeks from kickoff to launch. You can see examples of finished work on the projects page.
Step 4: Launch and ongoing care. Your site goes live, and the monthly plan kicks in. From that point forward, I handle hosting, maintenance, and scheduled updates. You focus on running your business.
Why I Started This
I live in Staunton. I shop at local businesses, eat at local restaurants, and see the same storefronts every day. When I look at their websites, I see a gap between how good these businesses are in person and how they show up online.
Some of that is because they never invested in a site. But more often, it's because they invested in the wrong provider. They're paying too much for too little, locked into platforms they can't leave, and stuck with sites that went stale months ago.
